Wood-Mode Emphasizes Luxury Marketplace Design Leadership and Expertise at Design Chicago 2015

Wood-Mode, the leader in fine custom cabinetry, will showcase its innovative designs and luxury marketplace leadership through a series of activities at Design Chicago 2015. From October 6-7 an estimated 2,000+ trade professionals will gather in the historic Merchandise Mart for presentations by the industry’s most acclaimed designers, CEU accredited courses, showroom events and product debuts of kitchen, bath and home furnishings products.

The Lifestyle Design Center, Wood-Mode’s first factory-owned showroom, opened in LuxeHome in early 2015. This design-forward space located in Suite 119 includes vignettes ranging from traditional to contemporary and serves as a resource to all Wood-Mode dealers, homeowners, designers, architects, builders and trade professionals from the Chicago area and beyond.

Wood-Mode kicks off Design Chicago 2015 by hosting a featured event with Luxe Interiors + Design on October 6, from 9-10 am. At this breakfast, Editor-in-Chief Pamela Jaccarino and interior designer Anthony Baratta will engage in a lively discussion regarding “Exuberant Design + Fearless Decorating.”

Wood-Mode has partnered with powerhouse design platform Modenus for Design Chicago and plans to host its group of 20 blogger/designers on October 6, from 12-1:30 pm. Following lunch, Modenus CEO Veronika Miller will lead a group discussion on monetizing brands and partnerships.

Wood-Mode is also a participant in Modenus’ DesignHounds social media photo contest. Conducted before at the AD Home Design Show, Westedge Design Fair and London Design Festival, the one-day event encourages Luxe home visitors to take part in the contest by visiting participating showrooms, snapping photos of stand-out products and sharing them through social media. Participants have a chance to win one of four prizes with the grand prize being an all-expense paid trip to KBIS 2016 in Las Vegas.

Wood-Mode is also a sponsor of Design Chicago’s VIP Luxury Gala, October 6, 5-8 pm. Hosted by leaders in the luxury marketplace like Wood-Mode, the event will honor the Midwest’s best in residential interior furnishings, architecture, interior design and custom home building. Crowds can also toast the inductees of the inaugural Merchandise Mart Hall of Fame.
