Elegant Traditional Kitchen

Traditional in style, this kitchen’s location overlooking the family room makes it an important transitional space packed with high design. Brushed stainless steel accents, including a custom range hood and leaded antique mirror glass doors, amplify the bright Wood-Mode cabinetry finished in Vintage Nordic White. To create a juxtaposition of the design’s bright features, cabinet interiors were left in natural Walnut to peek out of glass cabinet fronts and pair with the Wood-Mode Alexandria Recessed door also in Walnut to create focal points for the eye.

Savannah Trails Modern

Looking for a change from their white kitchen, the designer brought drama back to this client’s kitchen through a black and white motif featuring the Matte Eclipse finish on Edgemont Recessed doors. Wanting to close the gap on the space between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling, floor to ceiling cabinets were capped with a matching recessed trim. Antique mirror inserts on some of the cabinetry allows light to bounce around the room, creating the illusion of an extended kitchen space. A beverage center features glass fronts on upper cabinets to display serving pieces and cabinet drawers below conceal refrigerated drawers and additional storage. Stainless steel appliances blend seamlessly into the wall-to-wall cabinetry, and a custom Wood-Mode hood is set off by a high gloss tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern, giving subtle movement to the eye. The entire design is capped off with polished brass finish accents and can’t-live-without customized organizational extras like Wood-Mode’s Birch Cutlery Divider, a dish drawer and lemans corner.

Main Street Bath

This historic home located on the horn of Massachusetts received a small addition. However, because of the home's historic significance, the design needed to remain within the existing overall footprint and feel of the home. A new bathroom was in order for this Cape Cod home, and to achieve this required a small addition to its second story. This newly built area may be small in scale, but the feat to achieve it was mighty. The homeowners desired double vanities and storage along with a soak tub and a walk in shower. To create the space to accommodate the homeowners needs, a deck area was enclosed and a closet was removed from the adjacent master bedroom to gather space for the shower. And by partially integrating the tub into the cabinetry, deep linen drawers were added and the remainder of the room was fitted with a beautiful furniture base board. In addition, the designer needed to ensure the new bathroom not only fit within the floor plan, but fit aesthetically, blending with the overall look and feel of the home. Warm natural tones were selected throughout, and the Presidio Raised door style with a profiled edge with detailed molding, finished in Slivered Almond on Maple was chosen to carry out that esthetic. Feet added to the cabinetry gives the cabinetry the appearance of furniture. The color scheme of the bath space is rounded out with marble countertops and flooring, champagne inspired lighting, and brushed nickel water appliance features, while mirrored upper cabinets help reflect light making the space appear much larger.
